Meet Denise Fuller

Author • Advocate • Voice for the Unseen

Who is Denise Fuller?

Denise Fuller is an author and advocate with a passion for using storytelling as a tool for healing, resilience, and empowerment. Originally from the South Bronx, Denise’s life has been shaped by the struggles, pain, and triumphs of her community. Her experiences as a young woman navigating a world steeped in adversity fueled her drive to write Borne of Shadows, a story about survival, strength, and self-discovery.

Denise’s path to becoming a writer was anything but conventional. She spent many years in corporate environments before realizing her true calling lay in sharing the untold stories of those like her — people shaped by the shadows of their environment yet determined to rise above it.

Born of Shadows

Borne of Shadows is not just a book for Denise; it is the culmination of years of pain, healing, and resilience. Writing became her catharsis — a way to take her broken pieces and turn them into a source of strength, not only for herself but for others who find themselves in similar struggles.

When she’s not writing, Denise is a passionate volunteer, dedicating her time and energy to supporting causes that uplift young men and women at risk of falling through the cracks of society. She works tirelessly to ensure they have the support, resources, and guidance they need to overcome the systemic challenges that often seem insurmountable.

Through her work, Denise hopes to ignite change and spark hope in those who feel invisible, encouraging them to embrace their own power and resilience, just as she did.

Borne of Shadows is a testament to the belief that from our darkest moments, we can rise and create a future filled with light.

Denise currently resides in Cumming, GA and is working on the continuation of Borne of Shadows and a podcast to speak openly about how leaders within inner city communities can come alongside at-risk young adults and provide mentorship. She continues to write stories that shine a light on the complexity of the human experience, while inspiring those who read them to find strength within themselves.
